How To Be A Voice Actor & Your Own Engineer

About This Event

Voice Actors & Audio EngineersTwo Sides of the same Remote Coin

Voice Actors and Audio Engineers, Tony Wijs and Laneth Sffarlenn, will share what you need to get started as a voice actor in this modern and increasingly remote industry!

At the end of this free workshop, you'll have a firm grasp on some of the most fundamental skills that you will need in your arsenal as you begin, or continue your journey as a voice actor.

We will be covering:

  • Well treated recording spaces and why they are more important than a fancy microphone.
  • Gear & Equipment - knowing how to set it up and how to troubleshoot when things go sideways.
  • How to record, edit, and submit your work - ensuring you know the basics, and follow directions!
  • Industry Standards - "There are no rules, but there are many opinions..."
  • The No. 1 question we see asked - "When am I ready to get a demo reel?"

We love what we do, and we hope our passion for both voice acting and clean audio becomes your passion as well!

Please Note:

  • If you cannot attend this event live, you can still click "Attend" to RSVP and that way you will get a notification email that will give you all of the notes & links to the downloads we'll be providing to all attendees!
  • We will have a LOT of information to cover in the 60-90 mins of time that we have, so we will be holding all questions until the end. We highly suggest either writing your questions in the Zoom chat box so Neth can copy them into a list, or writing them down on your computer or a notepad so you can use the raise hand function and have your question answered in turn.
