Great voice acting is not just about reading the words on the page. It is about understanding what is happening underneath them.

In Beyond the Lines, students will learn how to break down a script before they perform it, so their reads feel more specific, connected, and intentional. This event will focus on how to identify the bigger picture of a scene, understand what your character wants, and make stronger acting choices based on the clues already inside the script.

Students will explore how to look at beats, shifts, relationships, stakes, and character intention, then apply those choices directly to their performance. The goal is to help actors stop guessing, stop “just reading,” and start making clear choices that bring the copy to life.
