Combat reads are not just about energy. They are about specificity.

In this workshop, students will be given short action lines, but there is a catch: before they ever touch the script, they must first choose a weapon. That choice becomes the foundation of the performance. A broadsword, whip, spear, hammer, dagger, or axe all move differently, hit differently, and demand different physical choices. Those differences should be reflected in the acting.
