In this 6-week intensive, you will receive the core training of how to's of becoming a solo-preneur in the voice over industry and learn the tools, tricks and techniques of building a solid foundation as a DBA/LLC business in the first year.
The basics of marketing and branding, creating and sustaining mindpower and focus, as well as discovering hidden gems to help you avoid common pitfalls that new VO talent fall into.
Focus on how to get the best bang for your buck in training, demo production and marketing your talents. You will walk away knowing the ABC's of becoming a voice-over professional and what you realistically need to invest/commit to become successful.
This course is the culmination of Lau Lapides' many years as President and Founder at Lau Lapides company, professional SAG-AFTRA member, head agent with Model Club Inc, and many more. Full bio below.

Lau Lapides is President & Founder of lau lapides company based in Boston with satellite studios in New York City and Miami. She is also head Voice Over Talent Agent with Model Club, Inc (Boston) & pioneer of the new Voice Over division at the agency (MCVO).
She holds Professional Memberships in SAG-AFTRA/AEA (Screen Actors Guild American Federation of Television & Radio Artists),/AWRT (American Women in Radio & Television), AWM (Alliance for Women in Media), NAPW (National Association of Professional Women), BWME (Boston Women in Media Entertainment), NAB (National Association of Broadcasters), MBA (Massachusetts Broadcasters Association), Stagesource, NETC (New England Theater Conference.)
Holds an M.F.A. in Acting, University of California, Irvine.
Lau Lapides was selected for The Ad Club's Women's Leadership Forum *100 Women We Admire* Recognition 2013*, Honors and awards include "Best Director" 4 years running at Playwrights Platform Festival, the prestigious "Women Who Make a Difference Award" in 2003 and again in 2004 honoring women leaders of the Babson College.
She has also been selected as a judge for the prestigious National Gracie Broadcasting Awards, held in Washington D.C. and her studio work nominated in 2 categories. Her company has been featured in numerous print and online magazines including Imagine, Talent, and Backstage Magazine.

WEEK 1: THE POWER OF MINDSET & POSITIVE THINKING!
- A) Your voice over creative and business path will take route in your mind and intentions first and foremost, then your incisive actions.
- B) Your structured use of time management tools and health and lifestyle balance will all aid your mind power abilities.

WEEK 2: CREATING THE VO SUPERHERO IN YOU!
- A) Finding your unique style, image & value proposition. Defining your vocal presence and value added offering helps your clients & producers.
- B) Creating a realistic Action Plan. BE the talent you are capable of being to the fullest potential rather than the one you are not able to attain. And know the difference.

WEEK 3: DUE DILIGENCE OF TRAINING & INDUSTRY STANDARD DEMO PRODUCTION!
- A) The A, B, C's of Training from crawling to walking to running. Get your ducks in a row and know your stuff to be competitive in the market and create the best demo version of you.
- B) Invest like the rest and only the best. Define and adhere to your financial, emotional and time commitment to know what you can really accomplish. Let's crunch numbers!

WEEK 4: CREATING A TEAM TO HELP YOU WIN!
- A) Create a VO Village to help you achieve your goals and don't look back!
- B) Become your own CEO and create a shingle with your business name on it. Let's cover the basics of becoming a solopreneur and all that goes with it.

WEEK 5: NETWORKING & CREATING POWERHOUSE ALLIANCES FOR SUCCESS!
- A) Learning options for events, forums and meetings you NEED to be in to be successful.
- B) Skill-building in buying industry coffee for networking meetings! Work on soft skills to build your hard growth in your ROI.

WEEK 6: SUM UP YOUR POWER VO PACKAGE AND GETTING TO WORK!
- A) Now that you have the basic power tools it's time to work on getting work. Let's walk the talk.
- B) Create an Action Plan and make it happen with hard deadlines.
