Frequency Asked Questions

What happens if I miss a class?
We will record the live session for you to review.
What is your refund policy?
No refunds. Please be sure you want to take the course before you purchase it.
Do I have to turn on my video during sessions?
If you are uncomfortable showing your face on video, you don’t have to. It is helpful for instructors to watch your gestures and your movements in order to properly assess you as a student, but it’s not required.
What if I don’t have Clip Studio Paint?

This course we will be using Clip Studio Paint. Clip Studio Paint offers a free trial of 60 days, however, you will not be able to save your project with the free trial unless you register your trial. They also have other options such as a payment plan you can subscribe to for $4.49/month with one device or you can buy the license outright for $49.99 (PRO Version), which will allow you to save your work. Here is a link to the prices and options available:

Monthly Usage Prices - https://support.clip-studio.com/en-us/faq/articles/20230032#d7c2a104
What if I don’t have a pen and tablet to use?
While we recommend using a pen and tablet for the best results, you are able to use things such as your computer or laptop with a mouse; however, your results may vary due to the difficulty of using a mouse to draw versus a pen.
What if I use Clip Studio Paint on different devices?

The course will be mainly using CSP on the Windows version. CSP on different devices have different interfaces, however the basics of using the software itself will still be the same.

Do I have to purchase Sketchup for this class?

No, but we will still be teaching it since it's the easiest to use. You can use Abler or Blender, however, they have their pros and cons. Abler is heavy, so it's not suitable for a low end pc. Blender is overly realistic to some art styles and difficult to use, but we're here to help. We want you to have the option to use whichever works for you.
